BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING!
GREAT COMMANDMENT
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’
Matthew 22:37-39 (NIV)
GREAT COMMISSION
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)

Pastor Esther Tham reflects on the significance of Christmas, emphasising the enduring hope and peace provided through Jesus Christ. Drawing from Romans 5:1-5, she encourages believers to embrace grace, deepen their relationship with God, and find strength amidst suffering. This message reassures that God's love continually sustains and transforms lives year-round.

There is this old saying, “All roads lead to Rome”. This saying points to the fact that during the Roman Empire, all the roads of the empire radiated from the capital city, Rome. It suggests that all activities point us towards a centre. For Christians, this centre of everything is God Himself!
The sermon today introduces the Sermon on the Mount, which is acknowledged as the most important and fundamental of Jesus's discourses. This sermon establishes fundamental theological and moral/ethical principles of the Christian faith based on the kingdom of heaven.
Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.
Acts 2:33 (NIV)
and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.”
1 Corinthians 11:24 (NIV)
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
Romans 8:1-2 (NIV)
But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.
2 Peter 3:13 (NIV)
